My Nanny Granny...

Tucked up in saree nicely
Lit up with makeup lightly,
Fat around with emotions heavy
Lived here my nanny granny.
Does the divinity
And Supreme serenity
Reside in stony deity only?
I asserted
That they belong to my old lady.
With rich inside, and grace allied,
Here lived my nanny granny.

Awoke she early
At time so holy,
Chanted she mantras
Some bunch of sutras.
Kicked my sleep off
As arrived the sunny loaf.
Nights weren’t dark
With stories of dictum mark,
Her food had taste
That I ate with haste.
Before she was asleep
High up in dreamy leap,
She prayed for us,
Chanted she mantras,
Some bunch of sutras.

I am still here
But she left for somewhere,
I search for my dear
In the midst of all fear.
I try to recall
How the life was jolly,
Tucked up in saree nicely
Lit up with makeup lightly,
Fat around with emotions heavy
Lived here my nanny granny.

  6. @all - Thank you so much...I shared the solitude that is only left after she left. Though her memories will live forever, but the pain of her non existence will never cease. :(
