The New Sunrise

A familiarity it seems I have
With the moment I am seeing
A conking evening it seems
Feeling the aroma; wishes & smiles caking
I have been through it before too
I have heard the voices similar
People’s handshakes & their chaining.
Pyrotechnic arts and fireworks around
Tiny little bells’ jingling fogbound.
Yes! I recall what it is
New year eve’s flock it is
A welcome to the coming year
Celebration at its beginning.

Now that I know what the occasion is
I want to be a part; a portion of party whiz
But what I see is cruelty
Cleverness, jealousy and feelings anti
Hidden safely
In colorful wrappings & gifts baggy.
Sorry! Poor I am
I can’t afford things this costly.
Few balloons I will buy
Colorful and lighter in mass
Smiles it will contain
Loads of laughing gas.

I have some plans, goals many
A part of me better
A part of him & a part of her
I have kept in my jug full of Benny.
This New Year I wish another life to live
New tries to do; new facts to believe
That’s what I think, & what I will do
What are your plans, give me a clue
I don’t have wishes much
My foot fits into my shoe.
Please keep a part of me too
I have a colorful balloon for you.
